Beauty as the imprint of the Cosmos

Beauty as the imprint of the Cosmos is the catalogue of an exhibition in The Ritman Library. The exhibition in the library consists of two parts: Aeon and  Aenigma. The first part offers a survey of some of the theosophical and anthroposophical  works to have inspired modern abstract artists in the early 20th century. The second part focusses on the anthroposophical artists group “Aenigma”, which was founded in Munich in 1918. In their paintings, the Aenigma artists adopted elements from Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophical teachings.
